Former
Southern Baptist missionary who has done advocacy writing and support
since 1993, when her first book,
How Little We Knew
was published.
Seven years earlier, Dee had uncovered a case of MK sexual abuse. Among
the multiple other assault victims was a national teen-ager (who ended
up in the emergency room) and several of the perpetrator's missionary
colleagues, including Dee herself. Because the Miller's refused to keep
silent about the massive collusion, they were put on probation.
Unwilling to accept the terms, they resigned while it took several more
months before the perpetrator was asked to do the same.
Both as a writer and an advisor, Dee brings her experience in
psychiatric nursing to the table as she works most in helping people
understand collusion from a systemic approach. She examines why it
occurs and how it works to devastate survivors and keep organizations
from moving forward in the faith community.
