Eileen Henderson is the Restorative Justice Co-Ordinator for Mennonite Central Committee Ontario, the international peace, development and relief organization of the Anabaptist and peace theology churches. She is also the Project Manager of Circles of Support & Accountability, an internationally acclaimed program that supports and holds accountable men who have offended sexually who are returning to the community following their incarceration. As the Circles Project Manager Eileen oversees a staff of six and more than 200 volunteers who are involved with approximately 80 ex-offenders throughout Southern Ontario. Eileen participates on MCCO’s Sexual Misconduct, Response and Resource Team dealing with boundary issues within the church. She is frequently sought as a speaker to both the faith and professional communities throughout North America. In addition to her work with MCCO, Eileen sits on the board of Just.Equipping, a Canadian organization that seeks to support and train prison chaplains in Rwanda, DR Congo and Burundi in the principles and practices of restorative justice. As part of Just.Equipping she spends one month each year working with prison chaplains, genocide victims and perpetrators in Rwanda and DR Congo. Eileen lives in Oakville, Ontario, where she is married to Randy and the mother of two adult children.
