Joel Crawford
was born into the life of an MK in 1973, while his parents were
still in missions training in Missouri, and at the age of 11 months he arrived in
Indonesia where he grew up. The language and culture became second nature
to him and often took precedence over his native born background of the US. In
1993 he attended Bible School, and it was during this time he was introduced
to how being a TCK can inform how we experience our communities and
relationships. It was during this time that he learned about the abuse that occurred
in one of his mission's boarding schools. Over the years, he has stood by his
friends as they sought justice, and is today a proud supporter of all their efforts. |
